Product & Care FAQ — Materials, Power & Maintenance
How do I clean silicone?
Sustory recommends washing silicone toys with warm water and mild unscented soap before and after use, then rinsing and drying with a lint-free cloth. Clean ridges and the base, and store fully dry.
Can I boil silicone toys?
Sustory's platinum-cured liquid silicone rubber (LSR) can be boiled for 3–5 minutes for deep cleaning, but check the product first. Dry completely before storage; never boil powered toys or models with non-silicone parts.
How do I clean a powered toy?
Sustory powered toys must follow the stated IP rating: rinse only if rated, keep the charging port dry, and never submerge a model without the stated rating. When unsure, wipe with mild soap and a damp cloth.
How should I store my toy?
Sustory recommends storing toys cool, dry and out of direct sunlight, separate from TPE or PVC, which can leach plasticizers. A breathable pouch protects against lint while letting residual moisture escape.
Why does silicone attract lint?
Sustory silicone can pick up lint because the surface is slightly tacky; lint is normal, not a quality problem. Rinse and dry the toy, store the toy in a pouch, and avoid oil-based products or mineral oil.
Which lubricant should I avoid?
Sustory recommends water-based lubricant for Sustory silicone toys and warns against silicone-based or oil-based lubricant, which can degrade the surface. If you prefer hybrid, check compatibility with the specific toy first.
What is Shore hardness?
Sustory describes firmness with Shore hardness: Shore 00-30 is very soft; Shore A 10–20 is firmer. Dual-density toys pair a soft outer layer with a firmer core, so the surface feels soft while the shaft keeps the shaft's shape.
What does dual-density mean?
Sustory's dual-density construction pairs a soft outer silicone layer with a firmer inner core. The outer layer improves surface feel and pressure distribution; the core provides stability during insertion and thrusting.
What certifications cover the material?
Sustory's LSR raw material is covered by 12 SGS reports and one TÜV SÜD report, including CP65, FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, EU REACH SVHC and EU RoHS. Sustory’s reports cover raw material, not a finished-product certification.
What is TBL-8870?
Sustory uses LSR grade TBL-8870, which identifies the tested raw material, not a product model. The grade and report references are listed on the compliance page so the material claim can be checked.
Are material reports finished-product tests?
Sustory's material reports verify the silicone sample, not every finished toy or batch; fit, finish and electronics are checked separately. Treat them as material evidence and read the product page for model-specific details.
How do I use a suction base safely?
Sustory suction bases hold best on smooth, flat, non-porous surfaces. Clean and dry both surfaces, press the centre to expel air, and test the seal before use; on textured or curved surfaces, use a harness instead.
How do I check harness compatibility?
Sustory's flared bases are designed for harness O-rings; check the base diameter against the ring and tighten straps before use. If the toy shifts, adjust the ring or straps rather than forcing the base through.
How do I size up without pain?
Sustory advises warming up with a smaller toy, using generous water-based lubricant, and stopping at burning or sharp pain. Progress length and girth separately; if pain continues, stop and speak with a clinician—no toy is worth pushing through.
What does the warranty cover?
Sustory's powered models carry a 60-day warranty against manufacturing defects only, not normal wear, misuse, or damage from incorrect cleaning. Contact service@sustory.com with your order ID and photos; quality issues within 14 days of delivery are handled under the return policy.
