Dual-Density Dildos: Soft Outer Layer, Firm Core

Sustory dual-density dildos combine a soft Shore 00-30 outer layer with a firmer inner core. The outer layer cushions surface pressure; the core keeps the shaft from buckling during deeper or hands-free use.

Dual-Density by the Numbers

Compare Sustory models by insertable length, shaft diameter, mid-shaft girth and core hardness. All dimensions below are from the product specification records.

Outer layer: Shore 00-30 platinum-cured liquid silicone rubber (LSR), grade TBL-8870. Material reports: SGS and TÜV SÜD compliance dossier.

Which Core Hardness Should You Choose?

Shore A 50 core: Atlas and Rocco XXL. The firmer core gives more directional control and less buckling under a heavier XXL shaft.

Shore A 20 core: Logan, Rocco, Maverick, Obsidian and Dom. The softer core gives more compression and a gentler feel while still supporting the shaft.

Firmness is not a ranking. A firmer core is not “better”; it is a different control profile. Choose by experience, girth and how much compression you want.

How to Move Up to a Larger Dual-Density Model

  1. Start below your target: a 5–6 inch insertable model is a safer first step than a 10+ inch toy.
  2. Use generous water-based lubricant and go slowly; stop at pain rather than pushing through it.
  3. Compare insertable length and diameter separately. Logan is 11.3 inch insertable / 1.8 inch diameter; Atlas is 9.3 inch insertable / 2.2 inch diameter.
  4. Use the flared base and a smooth, flat, non-porous surface for suction play.

Suction Base and Harness Notes

Suction bases hold best on smooth tile, glass or acrylic. Textured, curved or dusty surfaces weaken the seal. For harness use, check the O-ring inner and outer diameter on the product page; the flared base is not a substitute for a correctly sized O-ring.

Material and Reports

Sustory uses platinum-cured liquid silicone rubber (LSR), grade TBL-8870. Reports cover raw material, not finished-product certification. Read the compliance page before comparing “medical-grade” claims from other sellers.

FAQ

What does dual-density mean at Sustory?

Sustory dual-density toys combine a soft Shore 00-30 outer layer with a firmer inner core. Atlas and Rocco XXL use Shore A 50; Logan, Rocco, Maverick, Obsidian and Dom use Shore A 20. The soft layer cushions the surface while the core keeps the shaft from buckling.

Which Sustory dual-density model has the firmest core?

Atlas and Rocco XXL use a Shore A 50 inner core. Logan, Rocco, Maverick, Obsidian and Dom use Shore A 20 cores. Choose the firmer core for more directional control, not because it is universally better.

Should a beginner buy a dual-density XXL toy?

A beginner should not start with Atlas, Rocco XXL or Logan. Start with a 5–6 inch insertable model, then move up only when comfortable. Dual-density construction improves the feel but does not remove the need for gradual sizing.

Does dual-density replace warm-up or lubricant?

No. Dual-density construction changes how the surface compresses; it does not replace warm-up, water-based lubricant or a slow pace. Stop at pain, and use a flared base for anal use.

How do I choose between Logan and Atlas?

Logan is 11.3 inch insertable with a 1.8 inch diameter and a Shore A 20 core. Atlas is 9.3 inch insertable with a 2.2 inch diameter and a Shore A 50 core. Choose by whether you want more length or more girth and control.

Can I use a dual-density toy with a harness?

Check the O-ring inner and outer diameter before buying, and use a flared base. A suction base is not a harness mount. Harness fit depends on the ring size and base shape, not only the toy weight.
