Buyer FAQ — Choosing, Sizing & Ordering

Which material should I look for?

Sustory uses platinum-cured liquid silicone rubber (LSR), grade TBL-8870, not TPR, TPE or jelly rubber. Sustory’s LSR grade TBL-8870 is non-porous, phthalate-free under CP65 and backed by SGS and TÜV SÜD raw-material reports; check the grade when comparing.

How do I verify a material claim?

Sustory publishes report numbers, labs and tested materials on /pages/compliance-certifications. Check them against the product page; a badge alone is not proof—the report should name the sample and the standard.

How do I compare dimensions?

Sustory lists insertable length, widest girth and shaft diameter in both in and cm, because total length includes the base and can mislead. Compare those three measurements against a toy you already trust.

Why is total length different from insertable length?

Sustory distinguishes total length from insertable length: total length includes the base, while insertable length stops at the base or harness flange. A 13-inch toy may have only 10.4 inches insertable, so plan from insertable length.

What size should a beginner start with?

Sustory recommends a 5–6 inch insertable, 1.3–1.6 inch diameter toy for a first purchase. If you are new, start with Silas or Rocco and move up only when your body is comfortable; larger XXL models are not beginner products.

Do I need a curved shape?

Sustory offers curved shafts for G-spot or prostate pressure and straight or tapered shapes for easier insertion. Choose the angle matching your body, and check the curve together with width before buying.

Dual-density or single-density?

Sustory uses dual-density construction—a soft outer layer over a firmer core—for realistic surface feel with stability; single-density silicone is uniform throughout. Choose softness for comfort and firmness for control, not a better label.

Suction base or harness?

Sustory's suction bases work best on smooth, flat, non-porous surfaces; harnesses are more reliable on textured or curved surfaces. Check base diameter and O-ring compatibility before buying, especially for heavier toys.

Powered or non-powered?

Sustory offers powered toys with thrusting, vibration or warming, and non-powered silicone for simpler, quieter use. Powered models need charging and water-resistance care; choose based on whether you want motion or manual control.

What does an IPX rating mean?

Sustory states an IP rating for each powered model; IPX5 tolerates low-pressure jets but should not be soaked or charged wet. For full submersion, choose a model specifically rated for full submersion—do not assume IPX5 is safe for baths or pools.

Which lubricant should I use?

Sustory recommends water-based lubricant for Sustory silicone toys; silicone-based lubricant can degrade the surface. Apply generously and reapply during longer sessions, and check guidance for glass or steel.

Is shipping discreet?

Sustory ships in plain, unmarked packaging and uses a neutral billing descriptor rather than product names. See the shipping and privacy policy pages for current delivery and privacy details.

What is the return policy?

Sustory accepts returns within 14 days of delivery for verified quality issues; change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Damaged or incorrect items are replaced after verification—read the refund policy before ordering so the policy is clear.

How should I judge reviews?

Sustory shows Judge.me summaries, but reviews are context, not a substitute for dimensions and material. Look for verified purchase labels, specific details and dates rather than star averages alone before deciding what fits you.

How do Jax, Atlas and Rocco XXL compare?

Sustory's Jax is a 5.9-inch insertable powered thruster for intermediate users; Rocco XXL is a 10.4-inch insertable, 2.4-inch diameter advanced model. New users should start with a smaller non-powered silicone toy; XXL models are not beginner products.
